Bravo cancels “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”

1/16/2007 1 Comment

Bravo has announced the cancellation of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy after it’s fifth season this summer.

Queer Eye began in 2003 and quickly became Bravo’s highest-rated show. Ratings dropped as the novelty wore off, and the show resorted to stunt episodes like making over the entire Boston Red Sox baseball team.

To fill the void, the cable channel announced it is picking up new reality shows from American Idol judge Paula Abdul and Project Runway mentor Tim Gunn.

The Fab Five will sign off with a special goodbye episode, leaving straight guys to their own stylistic devices. You’ve been warned!
